Day 1 Arrival Beijing

Upon arrival at airport in China, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in.

Overnight: Beijing


Day 2 Beijing


  • Visit to Tiananmen Square, which symbolizes the Gate of Heavenly Peace. Built in 1651, it represents the landmark of Beijing, as well as a symbol of the new China.
  • Proceed to the Imperial Palace, the largest and most complete complex of ancient architectures.
  • After lunch, enjoy an afternoon tour of the Summer Palace.

Day 3 Beijing


  • Highlights include a visit to the Great Wall, the most ancient and longest structure ever erected by man.
  • Visit the Ming Tomb, which houses the tombs of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The underground palace excavated was the Dingling Tomb where cultural relics such as the emperor’s robe and crown are displayed.
  • Peking duck dinner this evening.

Day 4 Beijing


  • Morning tour to Hutong around the Drum Tower.
  • Riding in a pedi-cab, we explore the city’s traditional neighbourhoods, called hutongs (literally, alleyways). Here, we can get an idea of what the entire city once looked like, and experience the traditional way of life. Among the hutongs, we can observe elders whiling away the night with a game of Chinese chess or mahjong, shopkeepers selling traditional snacks like jian bing (pancakes) and baozi (steamed buns), and hear calls announcing the arrival of the knife sharpener or cardboard collector.
  • In the afternoon, visit Panjiayuan Antique Market & Xiushui Market.

Day 5 Beijing - Xian Flight


  • Transfer for your flight to Xian, the great ancient capital of the glorious Tang Dynasty in the 7th century.
  • On arrival, meeting and transfer to your hotel.
  • Afternoon City tour including bell tower, the city wall.
  • Evening Chinese Dumpling dinner banquet.

Day 6 Xian


  • View the astonishing army of the life sized terracotta warriors that have been standing guard by the tomb of the emperor Qin Shi Huang Di for over 2,000 years.
  • Afternoon visit Wild Goose Pagoda & Shan’s xi Museum.
  • Evening Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.

Overnight: Xian – (B, L, D)


Day 7 Xian - Chongquing Flight


  • Transfer for flight to Chongqing.
  • City tour including Panda Zoo before boarding of the MV President Cruise.
  • Late evening, set sail from Chongqing.

Overnight: Cruise Ship – (B, L, D)


Day 8 Chongqing - Fengdu


  • Sail to Fengdu.
  • Morning, Fengdu sightseeing (optional).
  • Afternoon, shore excursion to Shibaozhai.

Day 9 Badong


  • Full shipboard activities and excursions are offered throughout the cruise.
  • Early morning, shore excursion to White Emperor City (optional)
  • Morning, Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge.
  • Afternoon, boat excursion to Shennong Stream
  • Late afternoon, Xiling Gorge

Overnight: Cruise Ship – (B, L, D)


Day 10 Yichang - Shanghai Flight


  • Early morning, shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam site.
  • Morning, Xiling Gorge.
  • Later, disembark in Yichang (without lunch). (Arrival time in Yichang is subject to water conditions).
  • Time permitting, you will have a city tour before transfer for your flight.
  • On arrival Shanghai, meeting and transfer to your hotel.

Day 11 Shanghai


  • Today’s sightseeing includes a drive along the bund, visit to the Children’s Palace, Temple of the Jade Buddha and the Shanghai Museum.

Day 12 Depart Shanghai
